The Upside Counseling Center Approach-

I believe the most important person in your teen’s life is you, so we first schedule a meeting with the parents or caregivers.  This allows me to get a better understanding of the difficulties your teen is facing.  Discover the root of the problem, whether it is at home or at school, will best determine how I can help.

Parental involvement will be consistent throughout the adolescent’s treatment.  You will relay important information about your son or daughter is progressing at home and school throughout the therapy sessions.  During your time with me, I may offer advice on how to effectively help your teen at home.  This time also presents a great opportunity to address any parenting questions you may have.

Generally, I hold weekly individual adolescent counseling sessions with your teen.  There will be separate check in times held separately for the parents.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 253-335-2412
